Privacy policy

seocheck does not require an account and does not track you. When you run a check, our server fetches the public page you asked about — plus that site's robots.txt, sitemap.xml, and llms.txt — analyzes them, and sends the score back to your browser. It saves a record of each run — the URL you submitted, the resolved final URL, and the resulting scores — to a database so the tool can show recent checks; nothing is sold and there is no advertising.

seocheck is built by ogbuilds, a uk-based studio. Where this policy describes any personal data, ogbuilds is the data controller and the policy is governed by uk data protection law (uk gdpr).

seocheck is deliberately minimal. It has no sign-up, no login, and no user profiles. Specifically:

• no accounts — there is nothing to register, so we hold no names, emails, or passwords.
• the URL you submit— sent to our server to run the check, and stored (with the resulting scores and audit result) as a run record so recent checks can be listed and re-opened. Please only check pages you're allowed to, and don't put anything private in a URL.
• pages we fetch on your behalf — to score a URL, our server fetches the page itself and that site's public robots.txt, sitemap.xml, and llms.txt. These are public files we read once per check and do not retain.
• standard server logs — our hosting provider may keep short-lived technical logs (such as IP address and request time) for security and abuse-prevention, as any web host does. We do not use them to build a profile of you.

seocheck submits the URLs you give it. Please only check pages you're allowed to, and avoid putting anything private in a URL.

The URL and the fetched files are used for one purpose only: to compute and return your SEO, GEO, and sitemap audit. We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not run third-party analytics or tracking on the tool.

To the limited extent any of this involves personal data, we rely on our legitimate interests in providing a useful, free, stateless tool and in keeping it secure and free of abuse. We do not process special-category data.

seocheck runs on a small set of infrastructure providers and contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking:

• vercel — hosting for the web app and the analysis endpoint, including standard request logs.
• neon — the serverless Postgres database where analysis run records (submitted URL, final URL, scores and audit result) are stored to power the recent-runs history.
• ai provider (optional) — if you request an AI action plan, the audit findings for that check are sent to an LLM provider via a gateway to generate recommendations. This step is optional and only runs when you ask for it.

There is no authentication provider and no payment processor — seocheck has no accounts and is free. The core analysis is performed by our own code from the HTML and files it fetches.

seocheck does not set advertising or tracking cookies. It may rely on essential cookies or local storage only where strictly needed to serve the page; it does not use them to identify or follow you.

seocheck retains a run record for each check — the URL you submitted, the resolved final URL, the scores, and the audit result — in its database so it can display recent checks. These records carry no accounts or personal profiles. The robots.txt, sitemap.xml, and llms.txt files we fetch are read once per check and are not retained. Short-lived technical logs kept by our hosting provider are retained only briefly for security. If you'd like a run record associated with a URL removed, contact us and we'll delete it.

Under uk gdpr you can ask us to access, correct, delete, or export any personal data we hold, and to object to certain processing. Because seocheck holds no accounts and no personal profiles, in practice there is little personal data to act on — but if you want a stored run record removed, or have any other request, reach us via privacy@ogbuilds.ai or through ogbuilds. You also have the right to complain to the uk information commissioner's office (ico).

Our hosting provider (vercel) may process data on infrastructure located in the united states or other countries outside the uk/eea. Where data is transferred internationally, it's done under appropriate safeguards such as the provider's standard contractual clauses.

seocheck is a tool for site owners, marketers, and developers and is not intended for anyone under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children.

Requests to seocheck are served over https (encrypted in transit). We keep the collected surface deliberately tiny — no accounts, no user profiles, no tracking; the only thing stored is a per-check run record (submitted URL and scores) — which limits what there is to expose. No system is perfectly secure, but there is very little sensitive data here.

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and, for material changes, note it on this page.
